Varieties of demodicosis

There are several types of demodicosis:

  1. Rosace-like. The entire rash on the face is accompanied by vascular neurosis. In fact, a rash occurs due to bacterial or fungal microflora, and a tick aggravates the situation;
  2. Pustular, that is, the pustular form predominates;
  3. papular. It is characterized by the appearance of papules up to 4 mm in diameter, reddish or pink in color;
  4. Combined view. Combines all forms of manifestation.

Any rash indicates not only problems with appearance and bad mood, but also the presence of pathology from which it is difficult to get rid of. Therefore, during treatment, it should be understood that therapy will be long and laborious. In terms of time, treatment lasts at least 30 days, since the clutch of a female tick develops over 25 days.

Attention! The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor depending on the neglect of the disease and the overall clinical picture

The main problem in treatment, which many patients face, is late treatment and other chronic diseases, which provoked the onset of demodicosis. But even on time, the treatment carried out is not a reason to assume that there will be no recurrence of the disease. The main thing is to eliminate the problem that became the root cause of the development of the disease.

The use of sulfuric ointment

The use of the ointment is due to its strong antiparasitic properties. 1 gram of ointment contains about 333 grams of sulfur. The ointment helps not only in the treatment of demodicosis, but also helps to get rid of lichen, acne, psoriasis.

Sulfur ointment has practically no side effects and is well tolerated by patients. It is not recommended to apply it at the same time with other means: as a result, a new and unpredictable compound may result, and the effect on the skin is generally difficult to predict.

Benzyl benzoate

It is used in the treatment of not only demodicosis, but also in the presence of lichen, scabies. The action of the ointment is based on its acaricidal properties: the medicine gets inside the tick, and the insect dies.

For the face, use a 20% ointment, applying it in a thin layer to the affected skin. The procedure must be carried out on a well-cleansed face 3 hours before bedtime. Duration of treatment is about 10 days a month until complete recovery. The emulsion is used for 2-3 weeks, applied before bedtime.

Treatment with benzyl benzoate should be prescribed only by a specialist after assessing all the risks. The ointment can cause allergies in people who do not tolerate medication. The drug is not used if the woman is pregnant. In no case should the dosage be violated or the course of treatment should be increased, otherwise, the ointment can cause other more serious problems with the skin of the face.

Applying permethrin ointment

The action of the tool is aimed at eliminating all types of ticks. Pyrethroids are the active substances of the ointment, they have a synthetic base and, getting inside the tick, kill it. The ointment tends to penetrate deeply into the skin, which distinguishes it from most other types of ointments.

The product should be applied at night so that it remains on the skin for at least 8 hours. The normal reaction is itching after application. Usually two procedures are enough to completely heal the skin.

Do not allow the ointment to get into your eyes, ears and nose. The product is not used for eyebrows.

The ointment of the pits must be thoroughly mixed before application, since it tends to exfoliate into the individual components of which it consists.

Scheme of applying ointment to acne:

  • 1 day - 5 minutes;
  • Day 2 - 10 minutes;
  • 3 and subsequent days - 15 minutes.

The course of treatment is at least 1 month.

After application, the product is removed with vegetable oil in which a cotton swab is dipped. Then you can wash.

In parallel with the use of the ointment, it is recommended to wash with tar soap.

Yam ointment has a very unpleasant odor and a limited shelf life of 2 weeks. It is necessary to carefully monitor the reaction of the skin, the agent can cause burns, especially if the patient neglects the period during which it can be kept on the face.

Using ichthyol ointment

If you read the instructions, then this ointment is a remedy for eliminating cuts and other mechanical damage.

The ointment is based on paraffin and beeswax, arnica, comfrey and vitamin E. The last three ingredients contribute to the rapid healing of damaged skin. Before using the ointment, the skin should be thoroughly cleaned of all impurities, especially from cosmetics.

Apply to damaged skin areas, if possible, apply a bandage. The tool can be kept on pimples for at least an hour. If redness or other deterioration is noticed, then it can no longer be used. The main thing is that the ointment can be applied exclusively to damaged areas of the skin.

Application of aversectin ointment

The product is obtained by means of microbiological synthesis, it relieves well of tick larvae. The active ingredient is aversectin C. Despite the fact that the ointment is designed for use in the treatment of animals, some daredevils use it to treat ticks in the practice of human diseases, and quite successfully.

The ointment is considered to be a purely cosmetic product, but it copes well with mites that have "settled" not only on the skin of the face, but also on the eyelids. Well removes inflammatory processes and destroys microorganisms. The product helps to relieve puffiness, removes all the symptoms of discomfort and practically "drives out" ticks from the affected skin areas. Rash and irritation are eliminated almost instantly.

Should not be used only if there is an individual intolerance, so that an allergic reaction does not appear. Very rarely, the ointment can cause irritation and redness of the skin. Actual cases of drug overdose have not been established to this day, and it is not known about cases when there was an incorrect interaction with other drugs.

It is not recommended to use the product and at the same time consume alcohol or spicy food. You should not stay in open sunlight for a long time or work continuously at the computer.

Birch tar

It is used widely enough for problems with the appearance of mites on the face. In its pure form it has a specific smell and dark brown color. To obtain it, they use exclusively humus of birch bark, which has dried, and only the outer parts of the bark.

As a result of processing, a "vitamin" mixture of phenols, aromatic and resinous substances is obtained.

Tar properties

It is used not only in traditional medicine, but also in traditional medicine. It copes well with all kinds of bacteria and has an insecticidal effect. It helps exactly in places where the skin is affected, stimulates tissue blood supply, metabolic process and epidermis regeneration.

Tar perfectly copes with inflammation, has antimicrobial and analgesic properties. As a result, it perfectly removes redness and dissolves seals. Tar is also used to combat skin diseases, including demodicosis. But the product cannot be used constantly, as long-term use can lead to irritation and eczema.

You can not use birch tar even without a doctor's prescription: it can seriously damage your health

Api ointment is a remedy for animals, but it effectively deals with mites on humans on the face. The composition includes sulfur, creolin and propolis. The product perfectly relieves inflammation and regenerates the growth of skin cells.

The product can be applied in a very thin layer to the affected areas. It should be applied at intervals of 2 or 3 days, until all manifestations of the vital activity of ticks disappear.

Popular ways of fighting

In fact, pharmacies are created on the basis of folk recipes, including ointments with a base of birch tar and Yam ointment.

Tincture of calendula

For treatment, you can use a tincture purchased at a pharmacy or created with your own hands. Face in the morning should be washed and after 15 minutes, wipe with calendula tincture. You need to lubricate your face for 40 days and change the pillowcase on an ongoing basis, a new one must be ironed.

Do-it-yourself ointment for demodicosis

You will need pork fat, which must be melted in a steam bath. The second ingredient is sulfur, which must be crushed during the heating of the fat. After the fat is melted, it is mixed with sulfur and a spoon of birch tar is added. After the mixture is thoroughly mixed, it will need to be put in a water bath and boiled for 30 minutes.

Then the resulting composition is placed in a glass jar, which must be stored in the refrigerator. The product should be applied every day before bed. In the morning, wash yourself with warm water.

On the window of almost every housewife, a plant such as aloe grows. It not only saves from a runny nose, but also regenerates the skin, cleanses and saves from ticks.

You just need to cut a small leaf of the plant and apply it to the places of inflammation from the tick. It will burn a little, but this is a temporary phenomenon, but the healing effect is stunning.

Precautions when using ointments

Despite the high ability to eliminate ticks, even when using folk methods, each remedy has certain contraindications. It is always necessary to take into account how quickly the active substance is absorbed and distributed, acts on insects and is removed from the body.

Attention! You should never self-medicate!

Pregnancy and ointments for demodicosis

During the period when a woman is carrying a new life, all methods of treating any disease should be agreed with the doctor. It is possible that the risks of acne from ticks are much less than the risk of harm to a person's future life. Moreover, the woman is greatly weakened during this period, her immune forces are on the verge.

In no case should you use ointments from pharmaceutical production of demodicosis in the first trimester. It is during this period that immunity and all the internal organs of the baby are laid
