Indications for use
Medamine is used to treat the following helminthiasis caused by roundworms:
- ascariasis (causative agent - roundworm);
- strongyloidosis (acne);
- ankylostomiasis (hookworms);
- enterobiasis (pinworms);
- necatorosis (noncatorosis);
- trichocephalosis (whipworm).
The drug is used for primary infection and for the chronic form of helminthic invasion, as well as for prophylaxis. Affects adult parasites, their eggs and larvae. With mixed helminthic invasion, the effectiveness of Medamin will be insufficient.
Method of administration and dosage
The tablets are taken with meals or immediately after a meal, crushing and mixing with warm water. No special diet or laxatives are required.
The daily dose depends on the patient's body weight and is 10 mg per 1 kg of body weight. It is divided into 3 parts, taken at regular intervals. In acute form or with exacerbation of chronic, the drug is taken for 2-3 days, repeating the course in 2-3 weeks.

Side effects
