Tiberal is an antiprotozoal and antimicrobial agent that is actively used in the treatment of diseases caused by protozoan microorganisms. The main active ingredient is ornidazole. It has a detrimental effect on anaerobic microbes that develop in the absence of oxygen.

Amebic dysentery is treated for 3 days according to the following scheme:
