Giardia is a protozoan parasite of Lamblia intestialis that has a harmful effect on the host's body. They enter the intestines along with food, and after staying there for some time, they descend into the colon, where they form cysts. The disease they cause is called giardiasis.
It can be infected through the cysts of lamblia, which are excreted by the millions from the body of an infected person through feces. When giardiasis is undesirable to eradicate drugs, treatment is carried out with folk remedies.

Reasons for the penetration of lamblia cysts
Giardia is quite easy to get infected: this happens both upon contact with an infected person and when eating unwashed foods.
In addition to these reasons, you can catch the disease when swimming in water bodies, where it is easiest for the parasite to expect the appearance of the host (lamblia are hygrophilous), if water from them and wells gets into the body. It is enough to shake hands with a person carrying Giardia cysts in the palm of his hand to become infected.
The development of the disease is accelerated with low acidity of gastric juice, as well as if more than ten thousand lamblia has entered the body. Treatment is almost impossible to avoid if several factors coincide.
Among the signs that indicate possible illness, there may be pain in the epigastric region. It is often confused with pain in the liver, but Giardia does not reach it because of the bile that is destructive for them.
Other symptoms are similar to poisoning: diarrhea or foul-smelling stools, bloating, possibly nausea and vomiting, although the latter two are rare. In less sensitive people, giardiasis is expressed as simple discomfort in the abdomen.
After the acute phase of the disease for two weeks, the symptoms are almost not expressed, and the disease can only be detected with the help of tests.
At this stage, only mild problems with the gastrointestinal tract and a general deterioration in well-being can indicate lamblia, which are almost invisible without careful observation. In order to diagnose giardiasis, especially chronic giardiasis, it is necessary to undergo regular medical examinations.
Most infected people prefer to be treated for giardiasis using folk remedies. This helps to preserve the intestinal microflora and get rid of some of the unpleasant side effects.
This can be done when consuming a large amount of sour, and it is also desirable to exclude sweets from the diet. The treatment of giardiasis and its symptoms with folk remedies in adults is especially common.
There are many popular recipes that will help speed up recovery, they use:
- pumpkin seeds;
- fermented milk drinks.
And also some other products. You should eat more fruits, dairy products, and meat (boiled or baked). Fatty and sweet foods should be avoided from the diet.
Traditional methods of treatment
Treatment of giardiasis with horseradish. The most common folk remedy for Giardia is horseradish medicinal balm. The method of its preparation, although somewhat long, is simple: a couple of horseradish roots are peeled from the roots, but at the same time remains with the upper skin and is cut into small shavings. That is poured into a liter jar and filled with cold water. The resulting mixture in a sealed state is infused for 3 days, after which honey is added to it at the rate of 50 to 50. After the honey is completely dissolved, the solution is infused for another three days, both times at room temperature.
For prevention, horseradish is also used without special tinctures: with mayonnaise, on sandwiches, or for the best action - on an empty stomach. But such an unstructured application is suitable for those who simply maintain the acidity of the internal environment. A more productive treatment of lamblia with folk remedies implies clear instructions.
Garlic in the fight against giardia. Garlic in the amount of about 250 g is crushed and poured with a liter of vodka, after which it is infused in an unlit place for 10 days. Just like with horseradish balm, this healing infusion should be taken three times a day, 1 tablespoon.
Pumpkin seeds as a remedy in the fight against giardiasis. Treatment of giardiasis with folk remedies, especially in adults, is most effective when using pumpkin seeds. Conveniently, the seeds can be consumed in their usual form, but at the same time on an empty stomach.
If a more noticeable result is desired, crush the seeds in half with honey. This mixture is taken before main meals, 3 times a day, in combination with two tablespoons of tar a day.
Tansy in the treatment of giardiasis. Tansy is widely used to treat parasitic diseases. She is able to cure both giardiasis and something else, also associated with worms.
The course of using tansy is the shortest - only 5 days, and preparation is one of the simplest: 1 tablespoon of tansy petals is poured with water (500 ml) and infused for 2 hours. After straining, it should be consumed in a third of a glass three times a day, be sure - 15 minutes before meals.
Oats against lamblia. This method of treatment consists in the preparation of oatmeal. It is necessary to carefully select oats, removing all grains departing from the standards (color, structure), which, when immature or overripe, can take on a pink, black or green hue.
This method also includes the use of some objects: after using the broth, you need to lie on your right side, placing a heating pad under you, and stay in this state for 50-60 minutes.
Wormwood for the treatment of lamblia. Wormwood can be taken both inside and use warm lotions. The recipe for the latter is simple: wormwood is poured with boiling water, steamed, and after removing the water, it is wrapped in cloth and applied overnight to the liver area. As for ingestion, an infusion of wormwood should be taken 5 times a day in a tablespoon.
Cucumber against lamblia. This one implies the least cash costs. Overripe seed cucumbers are used, which are not too marketable - with brownish skin. Also, this method is convenient because there is no clear instruction, the infusion is taken instead of water until the symptoms disappear.
The infusion is prepared from chopped cucumbers, which are filled with water. This product should not be filtered, just put in the refrigerator and drink instead of water all the time of treatment.
Tar for the treatment of giardiasis. Tar can be consumed twice a tablespoon inside, and use special means. Bread spread with a thin layer of tar is also used as a medicine, which must be eaten on an empty stomach for about four days.
Another way is a glass of water with a drop of tar on an empty stomach. This is the initial dose and should be increased by 1 drop over ten days. We must not forget that it is necessary to use pharmacy tar.
Fermented milk drinks to fight giardiasis. Inside, not only simple fermented milk products are taken, but also combinations with other means: garlic, tar, honey. The first combination is the most effective, with it the acidity of the internal environment rises quite quickly, and the anthelmintic effect is maximum.
